About Beyond 90

Our story.

Beyond 90 began with a simple idea: that every child, whatever their circumstances, deserves a place on a team. What started as a handful of informal sessions has grown into a fortnightly programme working with children from care homes across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, led by Coach Gavin and a small group of volunteer coaches and helpers.

Beyond 90 is now being formalised as the flagship programme of One Team Foundation, a Malaysian company limited by guarantee established to give the work a lasting, properly governed home, so it can keep growing well beyond any one coach or season.

Our Ambition

Where we're headed.

Beyond 90's ambition is to become a leading football-based mentoring programme for children in care across Malaysia, proving that consistent coaching, real relationships and a bit of fun can change outcomes for children who are too often overlooked. We want every child who wants to play to have somewhere to do it, for free, close to home.

Key Goals

Where we're focused.

Reach more children

Grow our fortnightly sessions to more care homes across the Klang Valley.

Keep it free, always

No child or care home should ever have to pay to take part.

Build real coaching relationships

Grow a small, trusted team of coaches the kids can rely on, week after week.

Weave in education

Work with each home to build what they're teaching into every session.

Formalise the foundation

Complete One Team Foundation's registration as a CLBG, with proper governance behind the programme.
